In a Nutshell

We are actively seeking an Assistant Restaurants and Bars Manager to support the day to day operation of the outlets dependant of business level and need.  You will work with all Food and Beverage Outlet Managers and their Assistant Managers to optimise opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets

(The role is 75% operational, offering on the floor support, and 25% administration to ensure a smooth Food and Beverage service.)

The Assistant Restaurants and Bars Manager will be responsible for…

  • To support the day to day operation of the outlet to ensure a flawless service for our guests across all Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Work with all Food and Beverage Outlet Managers/Assistant Managers to optimise opportunities to hit and exceed budgeted targets.
  • To step in for Assistant Manager’s in their absence in all areas including service, resourcing and product offering.
  • To work as part of a team and to constantly evaluate, train and improve the experience our guests receive.
  • To be responsible for maintaining the Enoround Machine in the Guest cellar to ensure all wines are fresh and rotated, while at the same time being on trend.
  • Ensure the Cellar tastings are delivered to a high standard and to ensure the diary is managed with all wine tastings being costed to achieve our budgeted GP.
  • Maintain the cellar to ensure all beverage lines are in stock to agreed par levels and business demands.
  • Provide administration support for the F&B outlets to ensure smooth running of the departments.
  • To work as part of a team and be involved with the learning and development of our F&B team members.
  • Work with Outlet Managers and other Assistant Managers to establish and maintain effective employee relations across departments.
  • To be proactive to guest feedback and direct the team in accordance with this.
  • Be adaptable to taking on new small projects with the support of the Food and Beverage Manager, which must be rolled out in the agreed time frame.
  • Assisting F&B outlets in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development.
  • Assisting the F&B outlets with table plan implementation to maximise the number of covers within the dining area’s.
  • Remains aware of business trends, systems and practices within the food and beverage industry to enable us remain current and open to opportunities to improve the profitability of the department.
  • To take Duty Manager shifts and conduct them in line with guidelines.
  • To actively engage weekly on Hubbub (our internal communication platform) to communicate positive F and B changes and Extra Miler moments.
